Help authenticating installer

Can Adobe please clean all the useless remarks from this forum?

I'm having the same problem except I don't even get "unable to authenticate
installer". Nothing happens at all. I have changed the administrator settings
and turned off the pop-up blocker. I go to the website and click on install. It
takes me to the downloading page where it's supposed to be downloading and
nothing happens. I don't get a gold bar at the top of the screen and I don't
get the warning box. It also says "done" at the bottom corner of the page so I
know nothing is happening. I'm a little irritated that even the computer "tech"
that I called at my college doesn't have an anwer for me. I have to have this
to complete my computer class (to view my assignments). I can't drop so maybe
someone at this forum can help?
