Default Help defining a dynamic site

I'm a newbie and desperately need some guidance.

I am trying out the demo version of MX Kart and can?t get it to connect
properly. I?ve defined everything as follows:

Local Info
Site name: mx_kart
Local Root Folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Jann\My Documents\0Clients\MX
Kart\
http://localhost/mx_kart

Remote Info
Access: FTP (tests successfully)

Testing Server
Server Model: php mySQL
Access: local/network
Testing Server Folder: C:\program files\apache group\apache2\htdocs\mx_kart
URL prefix: http://www.beaconlights.net/

I am going crazy trying to figure this out. Any help would be greatly
appreciated!

Just asking, but do you have a testing server installed on your localhost such
apache?
Assuming the answer is yes, you should set the URL prefix on the testing
server as the localhost address ie http://localhost/mx_kart rather than
http://www.beaconlights.net/
