HELP! installing from boot floppies - Debian

When trying to install from floppies per instructions on Debian site, after the first disk (made from rescue.bin), I am asked to "Insert root floppy disk to be loaded into RAM disk and press ENTER" I enter the second disk (made form root.bin), but I get the following: "request_module[block-major-2]: Root fs not mounted apm: BIOS version 1.2 Flags 0x03 (Driver version 1.13) apm: disabled on user request. VFS: Insert root floppy and press ENTER" I press Enter again,but... "request_module[block-major-2]: Root fs not mounted VFS: Cannot open root device 02:00 Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 02:00" What's ...

    Default HELP! installing from boot floppies

    When trying to install from floppies per instructions on Debian site,
    after the first disk (made from rescue.bin), I am asked to "Insert root
    floppy disk to be loaded into RAM disk and press ENTER"
    I enter the second disk (made form root.bin), but I get the following:

    I press Enter again,but...

    Maybe this is just a matter of bad disk? Can you try another disk,
    preferably a new one?

    It might be that the image you're creating the root floppy from is
    corrupt. Have you checked the md5sum of your root floppy image against
    the one at the site where you downloaded it from?
