I just bought a brand new power mac g4 to replace my pc. I'm running OS X
and The fastest I've been able to connect is 28800 (with internal modem).
I've tried v.34, v.90, and v.92 selections.

My three year old PC which is right next to my Mac, connects at 44k
usually. This is nuts! I'm hoping there's something that I can do short
of buying an external modem.

I found the modem strings and tried changing them based on a hit I found
on Apple's site. I tried AT&FW2S7=75 but no luck in connecting any
faster.

This G4 surfs like a G1. Ideas?
