Default Help! My line endings change when I create a PDF . . . why?

When I create a document in InDesign CS and I create a PDF once in a while the line breaks in the copy changes. Does anyone know why and what I can do to fix it?

Usually I create a postscript file and then distill it, but the problem also occurs when I do a straight export too.

    Thank you!

Does text move between lines, or do lines that should be justified
become ragged, or something else? Does it happen on printing too?

It moves between lines, dropping the last word. The IND file is fine but the PDF is wrong, the PDF prints incorrectly and the IND is ok.

    It's really strange.

How about printing from InDesign to a PostScript printer?

Ok, you seem to have confirmed that in some situations InDesign will
reflow the text. My guess would be that you are designing with a font
that isn't available (perhaps a special printer font), but this does
indeed point firmly at InDesign. Acrobat, it sounds like, is just
making a PDF to match the PostScript priter.
