could anyone help me out in sending sms thru coldfusion server....as for as i
know that can happen only with coldfusion 7 server.kindly clarify if that can
be done using coldfusionmx 6.1 server.....any help would be really

There is no problem sending SMS with MX 6.1 I send SMS from my site all the
time and it works great.
I think what you are referring to is the new gateways technology that is new
to CF7, this just makes sending SMS easier but it is mainly to do with WHO is
handling you SMS for you.
You need to find a company that will handle the SMS side of it for you and
then you just need to connect to their service via a web service, http, etc..
