Default Help needed with download files.

Hi there,

I have some .exe files located on the server in a folder named "download bin"

I want to send out e-mail which apart from anything else will contain a link to the .exe file in the above folder, with the result that without needing to open or access that actual website... clicking the link will start the download of the file.

I have tried writing in what I thought would be the path but although getting to a download page I cannot do as described above.
Is it possible?

TIA

Don't put spaces in file or folder names.

OK Gary..
I have renamed the folder and the files...but I still cannot create the
link.

example www.someting.com/download-bin/???.exe
site URL - folder name - file name

the page link points to the folder. Am I missing something obvious?
The problem lays with the client not wanting the punters to go to a web page
to click the download link....
he wants the file to load from a link in the e-mail.

What happens when you zip the file? Are you confident you will only have
Windows users clicking this link?
