Help on some fonts issues, please?
Hi there - could any fonts experts advise?
?: 1
When I saved my AI10 doc as a PDF to e-mail to a client, the 'invisible' tab indicators refused to budge and I just had to take all the tabs out in the end. What did i do wrong?
?: 1b!
Linked to this issue - I have started to use PDFs more and more. All my Adobe Programmes over PDF export options. So what's Acrobat for? Should I buy it?
?: 2
I've always been under the impression that my mac could not use PC fonts.
A client wants to use Tahoma, which is only available with Microsoft programmes.
So he mailed me his PC Tahoma, which seems to be work just fine after all.
Am I missing something?
Advice very much appreciated
Cheers
Gill

Re: Help on some fonts issues, please?
Acrobat will make pdfs of your non-Adobe files, should the need arise. Beyond that, it is a more powerful way of dealing with pdf creation. If you need to create pdfs with different settings, for instance, for Web use, for client preview, and for high-resolution press, you can save these as job options using Acrobat and simplify the process of customizing settings.
If you only use Adobe apps and don't mind the results or process that you're dealing with now, you may not need Acrobat.
What OS are you on? I'm still stuck on 9.2.2, and to my knowledge PC fonts will never work for me. Maybe since OSX is built on UNIX it's different now? Anyone? I want to know!

Re: Help on some fonts issues, please?
I'm on OS 9.2.2 and I use Font Hopper for converting PC fonts to Mac fonts.
It works great for me.

O but I'm still having trouble with tab signs showing on my AI 10 PDFs.
I am getting worried about that one.
Anybody?
