Help! Photos need to move when text re-wraps

Hello and thank you in advance for any help you guys can give me.

I am working on a 40 page exercise manual with over 100 photos that need to stay with the exercise they describe. How do I lock the photos to the specific text that describes them?

If the text moves, the photo has to move, and you just know the font size will change or photos will be added later by the client.

Depends on the layout. What you need to use is either inline graphics or
anchored objects. Note that anchored objects are only avaialable in CS2.

And don't always work the way they ought... I've quit using them for the most part and manually move my images. I got tired of fighting the anchored objects around page and column breaks.

It's a real shame when a program made for publishing can't play nice with photos and text at the same time.

Time is money and a lot of it if I have to manually move over 100 photos around in text to make the layout of a manual work. If we need to bump the page count up or down, I know what I'll be doing all night.

But it can and always has been able to. If you don't like anchored objects then stick to inline. I've had no trouble with either but I'll grant that it takes a lot of careful planning to avoid the problems that Diane mentions when working with anchors in free-flowing text.
