Hi;
Sitting in the same spot with IE7 & Windows Defender running Symantec
Antivirus- lastest update. Contacted Adobe- no responce. I imagine this is a
serious problem for Adobe since it effectively knocks them out of millions of
IE users.
This is exactly the kind of stunt Gates and company has been pulling on their
competitors for years. I'm deleting & sheading every peice of Vista mail that
arrives in protest. I should not have to play with my registry or take extra
steps to have flash work. I am a long time Dreamweaver user so I have faith in
Adobe to get this fixed.
Adobe has dropped the ball on this one so far.

>>> Download video from YouTube

Try FREE YouTube converter (convert URL directly to MP4)

Default Help Please

Hello,

I have searched through the faq and as many places I can think of and cannot
find the answer...

I have photoshop cs3 and flash cs3 9.0

I can create animated buttons and banners just fine as long as each frame says
the same thing or has the same image.

1. How can I make an image with different words and/or images in each frame?
Here is an example:
http://www.thecompletewomanmagazine.com/index.htm
(The first AND second button...but ESPECIALLY the second button.)

2. How can I make text scroll, fade, or come from nothing to something?

These may seem simple to you all...LOL...but I am trying to teach myself, so I
can create my own buttons and banners for my websites. ANY help is MUCH
appreciated.

Also, I am totally new to all of this so please understand I do not get all
the lingo...so explain it to me like those funny yellow dummy books! LOL!! TY!

its all in tweens. you can tween positions, alpha (transparent to visible),
colors, pretty much you name it. if you really want to learn flash, i highly
recommend going to sites like kirupa.com and tutorialized.com they both have
pretty good beginner flash tutorials. and if/when you are looking for something
a little more advanced, gotoandlearn.com is a great one, but its a little
involved for a novice.

It never even finishes loading for me. You need to dynamically load
some of the content. That is after the main screen, or what ever you
want the user to initially see, is loaded then load the other things
in the background

What's the size of your SWF? I am going to go out on a limb here (because I got
impatient and didn't wait for it to load) but I bet you are using huge files in
your job. Your images should be made 100% at 72 dpi.... not larger. You should
never have to resize an image once you import it into Flash. Also, if you are
using video or audio, make sure you optimize those to the smallest sizes
possible.

Without knowing what you have there, it's hard to make suggestions on how to
optimize it.

make things more dynamic by loading images and such in externally.

Flash files usually became large because of two thing:
1- large images
2- sounds
so there are two ways to get rid of large file sizes:
1- You should break your swf into small part and then link them to each other
with indipendent load bars....
2- In library use properties of images and sound to reduce the size of photos
or sounds...
