Default Help Please

Hello

I created a database for invoicing purposes and have 4
tables of many (Products, Customers, Orders, Order
Details) linked to create a form called orders for
invoicing.
In the products table I have a unit price field which
displays the price of an item when selected in the orders
subform which is a datasheet. I would like to have 3
mulitple price bands so depending on where the customer is
located is how much they will have to pay for the
product.

I have created a price band field in the customers table
and three other unit prices in the products table. How do
I get the subform to look at which price band the customer
falls into when they are selected and then display the
price of the product when it is selected in the subform
datasheet.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Kindest Regards

Asif

BOL is an option during installation of SQL Server. I believe it included by
default and has to be unselected by default. I am assuming you have
installed all of the Client Tools on your work station. If not, you will
need to do that.

Also, updates to BOL are available from MS

If you have SQL Server/client tools installed on your machine, you can see
it on your Start->Programs->SQL Server group. You can also download a copy &
install it on your machine from:

Default Help please

I recently published a site with Dreamweaver MX and everything was working
fine until today. Now I cannot "put" or "get" files with Dreamweaver. My
computer locks up whenever I try to transfer a file. I have all the correct
addressing but it locks up consistently. I am using win 2000. It locks up
immediately after saying "connected to remote site". I can transfer files to
the host using another program such as the ws_ftp program. I cannot think
of anything I did to cause this problem. I loaded Dreamweaver onto two
other machines and I get the exact same results. What is going on? Does
anybody know? The Host site people are not much help. Thanks.

I get a similar problem, but don't wory about it. It's down to
firewall issues, but, in truth, the FTP facilities in Dreamweaver are
not the best. I recommend you stick to WS-FTP. Have you seen version 8
of WS_FTP? It's got full synchronize facilities and you can view all
the images etc. Dreamweaver is the best tool for design, but not for
uploading.

I have not worked with the 3DC, but I remember some of the older raid
controllers based on the AMI board set the second volume ( container )
as LUN1, where the first unit was LUN0. So it was

amird controller 0 bus 0 id 0 lun 0
amird controller 0 bus 0 id 0 lun 1

Yep i'd read that too ... but it still seems to have issues picking the
second container up. I installed 2k server this morning to check it wasn't
something i'd forgotten to do with the drives and that worked. I've also
tried the controller card in H20 mode and mass storage mode.

Any other suggestions gratefully recieved at this point in time ;)

Thanks, Paul and I will check into the new version of WS_FTP but in the
meantime I solved my own problem. I checked "passive ftp" in Dreamweaver
and it now works fine. Actually, I got the tip from a previous newsgroup
message. That shows the power of newsgroups I guess.
Thanks again.

Thanks for posting the info back.

I did not know that drives have I2O mode, did you mean the raid controller?

The command would be consistent with the second container having a LUN of 1,

mkdev hd ID number lun ha [ bus ]

where the SCSI ID is 0
the controller is SCSI-0
LUN is 1
the host adapter is amird
and on bus 0

Did you try this command before loading WIN2K and had it fail, but it worked
after the 2K load?

Yup ... very odd. I'm no master SCO installer, but i'm pretty good with
hardware and the like and this really threw me off. Still don't get why
win2k worked and sco didn't and then on the retry it now worked.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: No, it can't. You need to tell it what to write. Or you can
get a free cart like e.g. www.oscommerce.com. Then you'll need a host
with SSI, etc.

Alexander Ross is right - Dreamweaver will do simple e-commerce functions
without programming, but don't expect too much.

If you want an e-commerce site with decent functionality and which doesn't
break, you'd better be prepared to do some reading up on what's involved, or
else pay someone who has...

Depends a lot on the image. Theer are whole books on this topic ...

For starters, try clicking on the white background with the magic wand. May need to follow this up with the Select Similar command. Then invert the selection [SHFT-CTRL-I] and copy to a new layer [CTRL-J].
