HELP! Printing Transparencies and spot colours
I have a banner designed with an image in the background, the image had its transparency reduced to 50%. Ontop of the image i have text in pantone colours with a drop shadow achieved in illustrator. The file looks fine on screen but when i go to print the image in the background prints black and all blocky also the drop shadow prints black and pixelated rather than soft and transparent.
Any ideas why this happens??
Also when i tried to save the file a spot colour warning came up saying that converting spot colours to process outside of AI will cause unexpected results - i then converted all the pantone colours of the text to process by clicking the little 4 colour square nest to the colour in the colour window.
Any help would be appreciated

Re: HELP! Printing Transparencies and spot colours
Try cranking up the resolution in the Document Raster Effects settings under the Effects menu.
