    Default Help with an illegal 'operand'?

    Does anyone know why I'm getting this error message -

    Can't open illustration. The illustration contains illegal operand.

    Offending operator : ';'
    Context:
    0 XR
    1 0Xd
    /Def;
    (stroke style),
    /GObref: (ArtBrush 1)(AdobeArtOnPathBrush Tool) /PluginObject ;

    Could it have something to do with a custom art brush I made? Now when I open the document, I get that error message and all my work has dissappeared. Any help is majorly appreciated seen as my deadline for this illustration is very soon!

    Luke,

    There are many reasons for illegal operand errors, usually it's attached to corrupted or unstable fonts, however this looks like you might have a plugin problem. If your Edit/Preferences is directed to the initial PlugIn folder as it should be and you haven't added to it, then I'd suggest you might need to do an overinstall and if that doesn't work, then do an uninstall, clean your Illustrator files (empty) and start over with a clean install, being sure you don't have anything running in the background including any virus scanner, and particularly nothing by Norton. See if that doesn't fix things.
