    Default Help with asp, content management system

    I am trying to build and update page that will insert a record, then redirect
    to index.asp.

    When info is entered, data does not post to database, and the page simply
    refreshes.

    here's the code:

    <%@LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT"%>

    <%
    ' *** Restrict Access To Page: Grant or deny access to this page
    MM_authorizedUsers=""
    MM_authFailedURL="admin_login.asp"
    MM_grantAccess=false
    If Session("MM_Username") <> "" Then
    If (true Or CStr(Session("MM_UserAuthorization"))="") Or _
    (InStr(1,MM_authorizedUsers,Session("MM_UserAuthor ization"))>=1) Then
    MM_grantAccess = true
    End If
    End If
    If Not MM_grantAccess Then
    MM_qsChar = "?"
    If (InStr(1,MM_authFailedURL,"?") >= 1) Then MM_qsChar = "&"
    MM_referrer = Request.ServerVariables("URL")
    if (Len(Request.QueryString()) > 0) Then MM_referrer = MM_referrer & "?" &
    Request.QueryString()
    MM_authFailedURL = MM_authFailedURL & MM_qsChar & "accessdenied=" &
    Server.URLEncode(MM_referrer)

    MM_editQuery = 'insert into ' &amp; MM_editTable &amp; ' (' &amp;
    MM_tableValues &amp; ') values (' &amp; MM_dbValues &amp; ')' is your SQL query
    being built MM_editCmd.CommandText = MM_editQuery MM_editCmd.Execute is the
    line that should be dumping the data into the DB. before the.Execute statement
    try a <%response.write '<h1>' &amp; MM_editQuery &amp; '</h1>' %> this
    should ouput your SQL before the page fails so you can make sure that the SQL
    is correct. It should be something like 'Insert into tablename item1, item2,
    item3, item4 values field1, field2, field3, field4' If this looks right then
    something isn't going into the DB right. Once you get that working you need to
    add <%response.redirect ('index.asp')%>
