help with auto run - Macromedia Director Basics

Hi, I have created a CD which I need to make auto run onload. At the moment all my director files are in a folder placed at root level, obviously my .inf file needs to be at root level. Will this cause me problems, should my stub movie be at root level and then target the director movies in the folder? Does this method work for most windows operating systems? As you may have guessed I'm new to this any advice would be appreciated :-) Alan...

    It doesn't matter where you put your files, however, good practice is to put your exe in the root folder and then the rest in a 'data' folder or similar. Your autorun.inf file should be in the root folder and should consist of the following...

    [autorun]
    open=start.exe

    Note, no quotes. Obviously, this is if your exe is called 'start.exe'

    I hope this helps.
