Default Help with cfhttp and links

I am retrieving a list of documents from another server after sending login
params and displaying them. Now I need to convert each of these documents into
hyperlinks and also each of these documents needs to open in a new window.. My
problem is that I need to send the docid and a cookie that contains login
information. I cannot send the cookie as a url param and I need cookie to be
    hidden....
I am not sure if cfhttp is the corect tag to use or I need to use another
    method...
