Help with cfstoredproc
OK I have huge problem with my cfstored proc
I have stored procedure which retrieve lost password when you provide email.
Stored procedure is returning couple of status codes for error 1,2,3 and
everithing works fine when I miss email and cfdump cfstoredproc.satuscode it is
returnin 1 or 2 or 3.....
Now problem is when I put correct email (status code is set to 0 is stored
proc in that case, and password is returned trough parameter "@UsrPassword").
Now this is my code :
<cfstoredproc datasource="#application.datasource#" procedure="g_UserPassword"
returncode="yes">
<cfprocparam type="IN" CFSQLType="CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value="#Trim(Form.email)#"
dbVarName="@UsrEmail">
<cfprocparam type="OUT" CFSQLType="CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value=""
dbVarName="@UsrPassword" variable="password">
<cfprocresult name="ForgotPass">
</cfstoredproc>
When I dump "ForgotPass" or "ForgotPass.password" I am getting error not
defined ForgotPass.
One more thing in debug window under stored procedures I am seeing this:
resultsets
name resultset
ForgotPass 1
What I am doing wrong,
Thanks

Re: Help with cfstoredproc
I got it, problem was referencing I should dump "password" not "ForgotPass.password".
Why is <cfprocresult name="ForgotPass"> ignored. Isn't that holder for resultset like query.
thanks

Re: Help with cfstoredproc
I think you should take this out of the stored proc. <cfprocparam type="OUT" CFSQLType="CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value="" dbVarName="@UsrPassword" variable="password"> It is not needed.

Does your stored procedure return a "statusCode" or a "resultset"? A
"statusCode" is not the same as a "resultset". CFPROCRESULT is used to access
"resultsets" returned by a stored procedure and only exists if your stored
procedure actually returns a resultset. If your procedure returns a
"statusCode" only, then the CFPROCRESULT variable will not be populated.

Re: Help with cfstoredproc
Thanks jmj,
yes it is needed, once I take that out my stored proc is throwing error "parameter @UsrPassword is not provided". that is my holder in stored proc side for the result.
