help with color tween/basic site

first off I'd like to have it known that I have never made a flash webpage
before, but I am reletively knowledgable in flash

I'm using Flash MX 2004


1. On the site I am trying to make I want to have it where for the "hover" of
the mouse the backround changes to a color, at the last part of the color the
page title comes up. I have that all done, I was simply wondering if there was
a color tween that I could use, to make the transformation more consistant.

2. I was wondering, as for making a Flash site itsself is there a tutorial?
The site I am making so far just has a lot of "stop" frames and a lot of
buttons with "gotoandplay" animations which end in a stop frame at the the
section. lol. Is that how it is supposed to be done or is there a different
way that is easier or better?
