Help with drafts
I recently created a draft of my webpage and sent it to myself to view. Now I
am locked out of creating a draft for that page. I can edit any other page
except that one. Does anyone have any solutions? I have uninstalled Contribute
and re-installed it and it is still acting the same way. I am really confused.
Please help!

Re: Help with drafts
Hi Trboyer,
Contribute would typically will not behave this way. When you send a draft
for review to yourself, it will be in your drafts panel.
The reason why you are not able to re-edit the page because is because when
a draft is being edited by a user in CT, Contribute would typically create a
LCK file on the Site.
i.e., If you are editing a file "index.htm" contribute will create a file
index.htm.LCK file in which the user email id will be stored. This happened
same for your file also.
Since you lost the draft you are editing and contribute .LCK file was not
removed it locked you out.
Solution:
Sol 1. Browse to the .LCK file and Edit the file in notepad. Remove the
contents of the file and save the file. Please do not try to remove the .LCK
file as CT recreates these files.
Sol 2. Browse to index.htm (Which is locked). Click on "New Page",
Choose your site and choose "Copy of Current Page", Enter the same page title
and Keep the Page in draft mode.
Now browse to Existing index.htm on your remote website, and
Delete the page. i.e., File->Actions->DeletePage. (Your previous page is
removed).
Now publish the fresh draft created via "Copy of Current
Page".
Hope this helps.
Thanks
