help with File Summary Information

Is there a way to update the summary information of pdf and powerpoints files?
I have several PDF files in the need to be index but it gives better result
with the full File Summary Information

Category

I don't really understand the question. Are you talking about the Verity Search Collection summary information? What's the 'full file summary information?'

Right click on any file and select properties; they all have a summary
information section

I would like to tap in to the information and update it or change it

That's an interesting question. While there must be a low-level way to do it, I
suspect there's no easy method. Such meta information (except ID3 tags) doesn't
transfer well across platforms (such as to UNIX), so I think coldfusion doesn't
natively support it. One thing that might work is to execute system commands.

I was really hoping my problem was not unique.
