Help with Nav menus on my site
I believe I've edited the Nav menus in the right place but they are not coming
up correct on my site. I don't want them to come up in many image files but I
think that is how I am doing it. Can someone explain to me what I am doing
wrong or how to make these correct? Also, I tried replacing the image html with
.../ after the src=" and does not change. This is a .asp file. I am fairly new
to dreamweaver also.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Help with Nav menus on my site
Mike,
Your screen shot is too small to see what you have going on in your code.
Judging by your post this is all fairly new to you and you seem to be relying
on Templates and a good deal of automation. Unfortunately, automation can only
take you so far and when you run into difficulties it is impossible to find out
what is going wrong.
I would suggest reading about the basics of hand coding and supplementing that
with automation once you have grasped the basics. Navigation options are wide
and varied and there is plenty of information out there particularly in adobe's
own Developer center. Take a look at this article for the low down on
navigation and Dreamweaver. Once you have read this you can search for more
detail for information on the system of navigation that interests you.

You ca also try Project VII for a simple group of click and place css driven
menu systems. They cost around $90 but if you don't have the time or
inclination to learn about css and xhtml this is a quick fix. However, it is
fairly easy to equip yourself with the knowledge to build css menu systems
which are as flexible as you like. You would save yourself $90 too by reading
a few articles or buying one or two books.

Re: Help with Nav menus on my site
I recently began to watch that video and made a navigation menu. After making
that navigation menu I transfered my file to my ftp server and it still came up
with all of the red x's. Any information that could help me?
Thanks again
