I'm just guessing, but it seems like you could take the saveddata and preferences files and copy them into their respective locations on the new computer. These are the files that you are advised to delete if things start going awry in InDesign (palette problems, etc). Their location and how to find them (they're hidden files) have been discussed in various threads in this forum.
