help with spot colors please
If I select a pantone spot color for a graphic in Photoshop, and then apply the levels function to it does than change the actual
pantone color? If it's 356c and you apply the levels function that brightens or darkens it, is it still 356c?

Re: help with spot colors please
I think you are mixing apples and oranges. Pantone ink is mixed pigments. No
matter what you do to it on your screen, on press it will be PMS356. Unless
of course you apply a screen (tint) to it, in which case it will still be
356 only with a screen value. (presupposes the printer applies the correct
ink)
Applying levels or any other adjustment tools in Photoshop effects
cmyk-process or rgb colors. These colorants are of course made up of CMYK or
RGB, and adjustments such as levels will change the numeric make up of the
color.

Additionally, you'd be far better off posting this in the Photoshop forum.
