Hi to the group
X-No-Archive: Yes
Hi,
Been lurking for the most part and I thought posting every now and then, but
realized that I had been throwing those out into a blackhole so I finally
worked it out and configured the address to:
news://adobeforums.com/adobe.photoshop.elements
Instead of accessing via my ISP newreader which let me read but not post to
the real newsgroup! Although, they did show loud and clear on my
newsreader... wondered why nobody ever answered a question before.
LOL...

Hi Jodi,
*SES, welcome ! Don't worry, others
*have had similar problems.
I can see why...
*You aren't
*the first and wont be the last. So,
*what was your questions ? ;)
None now... at one point I was trying to find the url for the challenge but
it got posted at least a hundred times since!
*oh, another thing that I don't care for
*about the posts from the news readers...
*the threads don't get refreshed to the top
* of the list on the forum. I'm sure I've missed
* questions and answers directed to me
*because i just don't scroll down far enough
* to read 'older' threads with flags...or,
*basically don't notice them at all.
Not sure what you are using to read them but I can sort the posts however I
want in OE by clicking the top of the columns. I flag the ones I want to
track then click to sort by flag, then the most recent show at the top.

SES - one bit of protocol for us newsgroupies: turn off (or erase) the
original message content when we reply. I sometimes forget, then have to go
into the forum entrance to edit my reply...

Hi Chuck,
* turn off (or erase)
I don't have that set to auto include.
I cut and paste relevant parts in so that I and other people know exactly
what I'm responding to.
Sorry if that bugs you.

Hi SES,
Please do follow Chuck's advice. It makes it much easier for us to read.
Thanks

Re: Hi to the group
SES, it isn't so much an issue of "bugging" us as it is convenience. It makes it much harder for us who use the forum format to make our way through a thread. All the info we need is readily available, so quoted text just takes much longer to wade through and can also add considerable to confusion.

Re: Hi to the group
Chuck,
You really should see the Star Trek film about the Borgs. It's fascinating and you'll really understand why 'resistance is futile'. I'm not a Trekkie but that one was good. The Borgs are pretty cool.

Ensign Raymond Robillard reporting for duty, Chuck! :)
I'm a trekkie, and I've been one for more than 15 years now. I'm a fan of Roddenberry's other work as well (Earth Final Conflict, namely). And the one of Gerry Anderson (Thunderbirds are go!, Space:1999, U.F.O., etc.)

Star Trek : First Contact.
They were first seen in the Star Trek : The Next Generation, season I. Then they returned on several occasions.
First contact is not the best of them, in my opnion. The best of Borg appearances were done over Star Trek Voyager (mainly Scorpion and End Game).

Ray, I'm stuck firmly in the past in so many ways...the only true Star Trek
to me is the one populated by Kirk, Spock, Scotty, Sulu, Chekov, Uhura,
McCoy....and Klingons....!

Ray, you're too young to remember my all-time favorite of early science fiction: Rod Serling's Twilight Zone. Ridiculous special
effects at times, but always wonderful stories...
