Highlighting texts
Is there an easier way to highlight a text, to be copied
for example, than left click hold while hundreds of pages
scroll by?
Does Windows XP allow me to put a code in front of the
text I want to copy and after the last word to highlight
the area to be copied or moved? This seems a lot simpler
way to highlight than the "scrolling method".
I'd sure appreciate some advice since my material runs
into hundreds of pages.
Thanks.

I don't think this a generic fuction of the operating system. If using
Word, there are ways to do this much quicker. Check Word's "help" for
short-cut keys for selecting text. If some other application, check that
application's help screen.

Highlighting texts
Hold down Ctrl and hit a.
If you need from a certian point to the end of the document
while holding down ctrl hold down shift then hit the end
key.
To go from a certian point to the top do the above but
instead of hitting end hit home.
To copy multipule pages from the center of the document,
Go to where you want the copying to end. While holding
down ctrl hold down shift then hit the end key. Hold down
Ctrl and hit x. You will see all the highlighted text
deleted. Open a new document. Hold down Ctrl and hit v.
You will see all the deleted text copied to the new
document. Go back to your origanal document, go to the
top of where you want to copy, while holding down ctrl
hold down shift then hit the end key. Go ahead and copy
this and paste it wherever you want to. Go back to your
new document, hold down Ctrl and hit a, hold down Ctrl and
hit x, go back to your original document, go to the end of
it and while holding down Ctrl hit v.
Hope this helps,

want the highlight to start, grab the scrollbar and drag it down to the
bottom of the page, hold down the Shift key and click at the end of the text
you want highlighted. You can then right click and select Copy.
