HOLD SHIFT KEY TO MOVE OBJECT OVER - Macromedia Freehand

When using Freehand 11.0.2 I'am having a problem with my shift key holding a box on the same line, is this a pref. that I over-looked?. I will duplicate a box and hold the shift key and move to the right and the box will not stay on the same line as the first one I drew!. Also, Is there anyway to change your leading box in the Object selection from pica to decimal inches??? I also am having a problem with the display windows in Freehand the text is oversized so I don't get to see my full window. ...

Default HOLD SHIFT KEY TO MOVE OBJECT OVER

When using Freehand 11.0.2 I'am having a problem with my shift key holding a

    Also,
Is there anyway to change your leading box in the Object selection from pica
    to decimal inches???

I also am having a problem with the display windows in Freehand the text is
oversized so I don't get to see my full window. I have a feeling it is
    conflicting with another program.

Make sure you don't have another snap-to function turned on that is
    conflicting with shift-drag.

There is an issue with shift-drag preview when an object has a vector effect
or stroke. The preview of the object while dragging jumps to include the
dimensions of the effect. When you let go, however, the object lands
constrained as intended. It makes shift-dragging difficult.

I don't know about your other questions. It's best to post each to the forum
under a separate subject header. That way the discussion for each thread
    stays on one topic.

    Correction.
The jumping preview problem appears with an object has a *raster* effect.
