Hot Folders
I am working with Acrobat professional 8 on a G5 in os 10. How do you create hot folders? I have checked the online help and the manuals for both acrobat and distiller and I just can't find it. I have even tried to google it. I know this should be easy but I just can't figure it out. Can someone tell me where to find this information?

Re: Hot Folders
If you're trying to create PDFs with Distiller you want WATCHED FOLDERS.
In Acrobat help, that's Creating PDFs > Creating PDFs with Acrobat Distiller > Set Watched Folders.
If that's not what you're trying to do, let us know what you're trying to do.

Re: Hot Folders
What we would like to do is create a folder we can send to our clients where they can drop their files and create pdfs from our specs.

Re: Hot Folders
Watched Folders will work for that, although its a violation of the End User's License Agreement. Unless, of course, your clients own copies of Acrobat Distiller.

Re: Hot Folders
You could send them your job options, which they can apply to a watched folder they have setup.

Re: Hot Folders
Unfortunately they don't know a whole lot about Acrobat, they can barely make a pdf. They definitely don't know anything about watch folders.
