How Are Frames Edited
I am new to contribute. Currently I am a single user set up with full
administrative proviledges.
I am not able to edit "frames". Trying to add a new page and then set up a
link to the new page on the navigation bars of the left and bottom. While I
can add a new page, I can not seem to get access to the navigation bars (what I
am referring to as "frames"). I have searched the help menus and web site
without an answer. Help does mention that a "Select a Frame to Edit" dialog
box should appear when editing but I can not get this box to appear.
Should note that I am not a developer. Our web site designer recommended that
we get conteibute so we can update our site by ourselves. I questioned him on
the problem and now we find out that he is not a contribute user and can not
offer any advice (but of course he will do the work for us for a fee).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Keith

Re: How Are Frames Edited
Hi Keith,
I've found that to edit the individual pages of a frameset you have to use the
choose file method of opening the page for editing. That way you can navigate
through your website's folder structure and open any one of the frameset pages.
In Contribute 2 I used to get the "Select a Frame to Edit" dialog box, but I
haven't seen this in Contribute 3. I had assumed this was because of a scripted
frame page (i.e. the one that defines the frameset), but perhaps that's not the
case.
