Default How are objects draged along a curved path?

Hi, I'm trying to script a navigation system that requires the user to
drag a "knob" for instance, along a curved path, when the one knob moves
several others are adjusted accordingly. Can anyone give me some
    pointers on script ideas?

    Thanks
