Default how can i install macromedia's fileXtra?

From director-online i got
[Q]
The fileXtra resides in the Save as Java directory in the Xtras folder. If you
are using Director 8 you have to make sure that you install the Save as Java
components, as they are not part of the basic Director installation.
[/Q]

Default Re: how can i install macromedia's fileXtra?

I hope you have Director 8.5.1, and not just 8.5...if not then download the
update and install it. There is no "Save as Java" for Director 8.5.1 (or
8.5). That died in version 8.0 (and it had problems then anyway). fileXtra
is not a MM Xtra (fileIO Xtra is but that's a different kettle of fish).
You can download the latest version of fileXtra (4.02) at:
http://www.kblab.net/xtras/index.html

Then just drop it in your Xtras folder.

hth,
Doug
