how can I make my website flash template file smaller
II have uploaded my flash template to my hosting sevice and when I go to view
it on the web, it takes forever and I have DSL, I can only imagine how long it
would take others to load my page with dial up. Is there any way to compress
or reduce my template swf. file . It is currently 6680 KB. Please help.

how can I make my website flash template file smaller
The only option I actually see is an swf compressor, such as sorenson squeeze or other compressors out there. I believe when an swf is exported out an html file is also created. If you notice the html file is almost always considerably smaller file size. I work off of Dreamweaver, but you can use any editor you have to edit the file. Typically, i work off the html file and delete all unnecessary lines of text. By deleting extra tabs, spaces and lines your file will begin to shrink down to a manageable size. For example, I created an intro video in after effects and exported out the video as swf. file and once I did that, i opened the html file that was created with the swf in Dreamweaver and started editing all the lines of text that were not needed. The swf file was approximately 15mb and the html was 64kb, after editing the html file, i dropped it down to approximately 2.97kb. Hope this helps in some way.
