How can I make a jpeg image look like it is in perspective?

I took a JPEG image, created an outline around the area of the image that I wanted to be visible, created a clipping mask to block out the background. Now I would like to be able to take that image and put it into perspective. When I use "Distort and Transform" command it cuts off part of the image I want visible. Is there a better way?

I can't remember; AI 9 does have Envelopes, doesn't it?

1) Draw a simple rectangle.

2) Select the rectangle and your cliping path object.

3) Object>Envelope Distortion>Make With Top Object.

4) DirectSelect and move the Envelope's control points. Or, use the Perspective feature of the FreeTransform tool. (the "perspective" feature of FreeTransform does not work directly on raster images. But it does work on Envelopes, and Envelopes do work on raster images.)
