How can I replace an image in Acrobat Professional 6.0.4?
I have a pdf flyer that needs an image on it replaced with a new image. Is there a way of doing that? The flyer was created in Illustrator CS and saved as a pdf. I have to change the image several times for new flyers and it would be much easier if I could do it in Adobe Professional, instead of going back into Illustrator and creating a new pdf every time. Any help would be much appreciated!

Re: How can I replace an image in Acrobat Professional 6.0.4?
Create the new page with the new image in Original App. Save as a PDF File.
Then open Acrobat and choose edit > Replace Pages. when window open locate the page to be changed and choose the new PDF. Everything will remain the same and if you have Fill in Blanks they will be retained. Only thing will change is the old info replaced with new.
BTW: if you do have fill in and there is some differences. Go back to Forms menu and click in each item in turn. Nudge each one horizontally or vertically us arrow keys if you have extended keyboard (everyone should have) until you have placed right then move on to next.

Re: How can I replace an image in Acrobat Professional 6.0.4?
If the image is part of the page the above workflow might not be practical.
Instead use the touchup object tool and ctrl-click the image and choose edit image.
Assuming you have Photoshop installed, the image will open in photoshop.
Use photoshop to replace the image and flatten it before saving the image.
Any edits done in Photoshop will come accross in the pdf.
Then again it might just be as easy to open the pdf in Illustrator and replace the image there using Illustrator commands and saving the file as a pdf. (make sure you keep the relevant settings)

Choices, choices ..
You might also want to convert the images to PDF - place via INSERT
PAGES into the main document and then with the TOUCHUP OBJECT TOOL - cut
and paste into position ...
Acrobat 7 allows you to copy/cut/paste across PDF documents - therefore
more flexible ....

Jon,
I just had occasion to do this and used your method, with great success, in Acrobat 6. I will keep both methods in mind for the next time!
Thanks,
Lesley
