How do I change the font colors using Illustrator 8?
I am trying to layout new business cards and need to match the color of a font laid out by the original designer. I want to add my company slogan and make it the same color as my company name font. How do I do that?

With the text selected (either object selection or with the text tool and highlighted) enter the RGB or (if printing) CMYK values you want. Use the eyedropper tool to sample a colour from the file, or use a swatch book to match the colour of a printed piece.

Color palette(shortcut: F6). Make sure the document's colour mode is CMYK (File menu) and that the palette is in CMYK mode too. Be sure you're stting the FIll colour, not the Stroke colour.
