Default How do I flip view?

Total simple one here: I'm doing a layout where part of the design is upside down. I'd like to be able to rotate the view so I can work on the flipped portion without effecting the actual layout (i.e. not using select all > Transform > rotate 180).

    Any ideas?

    thanks again!!!

Lee, You might have the "use all layers" function enabled. That's what comes to mind for this problem. (It's on the top menu bar). Patty

Do it all right-side up, then flip the pages in Acrobat when you're all
done. Otherwise, I don't think there's a way to do it.

I flipped my view by accident (InDesign CS—Windows XP Pro). With an item selected hit: ctrl +alt +arrow key. It flips the monitor display the direction of the arrow key. Good luck! Lee Pierce

Or create the "upside down" piece right side up in a separate file, rotate it and then save it in a library. Open up the library and drag the upside down item into your right side up document!

If you need to work on the upside down item open the library, make changes and then resave! Replace upside down item in right side up document....

It's confusing but less painful than rotating your monitor!

This is a common feature of certain types of brochures, like a 12x18 that folds down to 4x9. The top half of the front side is typically upside down.

Christine's way of handling it is exactly what we do at our shop. You just need to be careful that you make ALL of your changes in the separate doc, and just as careful to replace in the main doc.
