    Well, in the load event of your aspx page, you could try something like
    this:

    if not page.ispostback then
    txtHidden.Text = request.servervariables("HTTP_REFERER")
    end if

    then the txtHidden textbox would always contain the url from which the page
    was originally called, even after postbacks.

    Hope this works....

    Except instead of declaring a hidden text box, use the ViewState collection
    which is automatically created and persists just for the duration of the
    current page ... no need to create/declare variables on the ASPX page
