How do I inspire someone to write a program that plays CD+G disks/files? - Mac Programming

I'm completely frustrated because I can't find a piece of mac software that recognizes the graphic portion of a CDG disk (used for Karaoke). The only one I found was written back in the early 90's and doesn't work anymore. The PC has dozens of apps that do this, and Macs have none. I don't have the skills to write a program (or an iTunes plug-in) and don't know how to get someone to look into it‹ there is a growing market for an app of this type. that recognizes the graphic portion of a CDG disk (used for Karaoke).
The only one I found was written back in the early 90's and doesn't
    work anymore.

The PC has dozens of apps that do this, and Macs have none. I don't
have the skills to write a program (or an iTunes plug-in) and don't
know how to get someone to look into it‹ there is a growing market for
    an app of this type.

Karaoke DJs are moving to PC-based systems, and the ones who would
prefer to use Macs have no choice... either lug around the
easily-damaged cds and equipment, or spend $1000's on a laptop PC when
you already have a perfectly good Mac laptop.

I'll climb back under my rock now.

Is the software on the PC side freeware? Shareware? Looks like a cool
project, but its a lot of work for anybody who doesn't already know a
lot about device I/O and CD formats.

Yeah -- that's why I wanted to look at the specs. I can probably also
do a quick hunt for a Linux CD+G app or something and try to port it to
    OS X.

Everybody thinks there is a growing market for their own pet interests.
Richard Pryor said fire is inspirational, but I think you'd actually
inspire more people if you offered hard cash. If you actually believed
there was a real market, in fact, you could fund development of the
software and then sell it yourself.
