How do I moving graphic objects within text frames?

I have noticed that when I place a graphic image or object inside a text frame and then try to move the graphic, I instead grab and move the text frame even if the graphic is selected first. Am I missing a keyboard shortcut when moving objects or is this a fluke within the program? I do notice that after selecting the graphic I can move it using the arrow keys but not the mouse. Any thoughts? I can find nothing in the help section.

You need to select the frame content with the direct select tool (the white arrow) rather than the selection tool (the black arrow).
