How do I open vector eps files?
I work with FH MX on windows 2000 at home and XP at work.
All I get when I import an eps created by Illustrator or corel is a square box
with an X in it
What do I do? Is it possible to open or import a vector eps in Freehand

Re: How do I open vector eps files?
If the eps referred to a raster file that was not embedded in Illustrator, then
once you import it to FreeHand you could have a broken link, in which case I
would embed the raster file in Illustrator, save as an earlier version
(Illustrator 7 is fine) then open this new .ai file using FreeHand. The raster
object should then appear in FreeHan
If on the other hand you are dealing with no raster objects at all, I'm afraid
I have no idea what's going on.

Re: How do I open vector eps files?
It needs to be in a native Corel Draw or Illustrator file (not eps) that
FH can understand. For Illustrator save it as Illustrator 8 or earlier.
For Corel save it as Draw 7 or earlier (I think) with NO compression.
Then import.
