How do I open a completely blank browser window? - Macromedia Director Basics

Hi gang I dont think this can be too hard so I hope I'm in the right place; I'm trying to launch an external browser window from a Director movie without any menu bar or navigation buttons on it, just a plain blank window with a "close window" button at the bottom of the window contents. I can do this easly in Java script embeded in html but how do I do it in lingo? I've looked round the web to no avail so I thought I'd come home and ask here. Thanks in advance Cyphyr...

You need to use JavaScript to open a custom browser window. JavaScript
only works within the confines of a browser. If you are working in a
Shockwave movie then you can either call a JS function in the browser
from your SW movie, or you can directly call a window.open() function
    from within the Director movie.

To do that, you use the gotoNetPage() function:

    gotoNetPage("javascript:window.open(....);")

If you are working from a Director projector, you will have to open the
browser client first, then make the call to JavaScript to open the new
window. Every browser will open with a new empty chromed page if no
actual content is called, so you'll have a blank page to contend with.
Some poorly written browser clients, most notably IE, will show an
unnecessary and misleading alert if you try and close that empty window
using JS. So removing that first empty window can be difficult.
