Default How do I permit long filenames

For some reason Contribute 3 seems to reject legitimate long filename
characters (such as space, underscore etc.), as unacceptable. How can I tell
it not to be so stupid!?

    I'm sure I've missed an obvious administration setting, haven't I? :)

Default Re: How do I permit long filenames

Fair points. Luckily (?) I work on an Intranet - where I can specify browser
and desktop requirements, and our servers all support long filenames - we've
spent the last N years escaping the tyranny of 8.3 filenames, there's no way
    we're going back there! :)

I don't understand why the standard web editor, DreamWeaver, allows me to
control my filename choices, but Contribute doesn't :(
