Default How do you handle photo-editing?

Our Contribute 3 users would like to edit some of their own images. Most of
their images are taken from digital cameras and need to be reduced in size,
resolution, etc. The Contribute 3 image editing functionality will not do
    all that is needed.

Apparently there is no Image Editor that automatically comes with Windows
    any more.

I'd like to know how others are handling this issue. And do you have any
    recommendations?

It does all you listed, but I understand the 'etc.' part.
