How do you upload files with Contribute?
I'm new to Contribute 4, just downloaded the 30-day trial. (I had been using
Frontpage)
Anyway, I have been able to edit my pages just fine, but how do I upload
additional files, such as WMV video files, using Contribute? And how do you
copy or move a file from one folder to another with Contribute?
Sorry for such basic questions, but I can't figure it out!
Thanks.

Re: How do you upload files with Contribute?
When you add a link to a file on your computer (e.g. a PDF document),
Contribute uploads a copy of the file to the webserver when you publish the
page. You can also do file uploads using the Publish File from My Computer
command under the File menu.
You can't copy or move a file with Contribute. You'd have to upload a copy to
the second folder and then delete the original from the first folder. There is
a work around for copying web pages - check out "Rename files using Contribute"
under General Discussion (use the search tool to find that topic).

Thanks for the info, so how would you delete a file?
So I'm assuming if you want to manipulate files, you'd need to use a separate
FTP app or something like that?

Re: How do you upload files with Contribute?
You delete a page by navigating to it (using browse or choose) and then selecting File > Actions > Delete Page.
Yes a separate FTP program is useful for site management.
