How does it transfer data, and how much hardware do youneed?
Hi!
I have two questions.
1. How does FCS send the data between people that are seeing each other though
a camera?
Is it Client1->Server->Client2 or is it Client1->Client2? I am talking about
the data so to speak. I can understand that FCS will need the server to
initialise some ports on the booth clients, but when that is done, how does
that work?
2. If you purchase professional edition, with 10Mbit/s and 2500 users. How is
this calculated? I mean what kind of server will you need to serve 2500 users?
And would 2500 users use more than 10Mbit/s if it was possible? Or is it more
probably that about 5000 users will use 10Mbit/s? Anyone here with experience
of that? I am talking about a program that sends sound and video.
Thanks!

Re: How does it transfer data, and how much hardware doyou need?
1. I'm almost sure that it is Client1->Server->Client2. 2. I have a P4 2.4GHz
1Gb Ram serving 700 concurrent clients. CPU is at max 40%, with MySQL running
on the same machine. Bandwidth depends on how much video you stream. In my
server, when just 1-2 clients are receiving videos bandwidth is around 80KBps,
however it gets easily to 1Mbps when 15-20 videos are beeing streamed. I
suppose that with 200-300 clients you could reach the 10Mbps limit if you
stream video to everyone. With no video you could have 2500 users and still be
under 10Mpbs.
