Don't bother centering it. Throw it out. Everyone hates pop-ups.

if you mean an html popup window, you can't do it through action script, you
will need to do it through javascript. Put a javascript function in the
HTML file in which your flash content is embedded, and then call that
function through getURL:

getURL("javascript: etc);

A quick Google search with "javascript popup" gave me over 80 000 results.
You can find a function there. Then just call it from Flash.
