How to add Adobe PDF printer in Acrobat 8
How do I add the Adobe PDF printer in Acrobat 8 on Mac OS 10.4.8? I have Acrobat Professional 8, the Distiller but there seems to be no way to add the printer via the Printer Setup Utility>Printer List>Add. I am used to printing to the printer to make a pdf from any application I am using.
I have looked everywhere - am I missing something?

The Adobe PDF 8.0 printer should get installed by default with Acrobat 8 Professional.
You could try choosing Help > Repair Acrobat Installation in Acrobat.

Steve - you are a hero - you deserve a medal - your suggestion worked straight away - I have spent nearly a day trouble shooting. But your suggestion fixed the problem and added the printer instantly.
