    Default How to backup extensions?

My hard drive is failing and Dell is sending me another today. My problem is I
have many extensions installed in DW CS3 (on Vista) and can find no way to back
them up. Sites, I can backup, but I really don't want to reinstall all those
extensions. Is there a way anyone knows of? I've read possibly copying the
Configuration folder from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS3\ will
work. Has anyone tried this? I'd really like to know before I end up pulling
my old drive to put in the new. Thanks.

    Sally,

That's the Application Configuration folder, What you want is the User
Configuration folder which is usually here (on WinXP):

    C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver 10\

That may work, but you are safest re-installing all extensions, so be
sure to also copy all .mxp files.

Default Re: How to backup extensions?

I was unsuccessful at finding any folder which contained installed extensions,
behaviors, etc before I had to pull my old drive. Although looking back on it,
I may have just looked in the wrong places and Randy's reply was too late for
    me to try.

So after I installed DW again, and spent the following day installing my add
ins. Then I checked for changes in files and folders based on the Date
Modified and found many changes for that date in (Vista file format):
    C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamwea ver 9\Configuration

So if anyone else has this happen, that's what I would try and back up. If it
works, let us know - it's a shame that Adobe doesn't have a way to do this.
