How to capture Links from a Word Doc?
I am creating a pdf of a Word 2000 doc which has links to different images in another directory -- which works well in the Doc, but Acrobat removes the links. I have searched everywhere in PDFMaker for something which will allow the links to be expanded (from inside Word), but no cigar. Is the only way to do this from inside Acrobat and then set link levels? Thanks for your help.Using 6.0 on Win2K.

Re: How to capture Links from a Word Doc?
Hi Barry,
When you are in Word, you have in the menu the opportunity to modify the settings of PDFMaker. In the "settings", "application settings" you can check the "add links to adobe pdf" checkbox and the conversion transform your links.
If I remember well there are some settings that will not allow relative links, but only absolute ones which is a burden if you plan to use the files on a CD rom.
Any way, there is a way of creating relative links (you will have to check).
Ciao

Re: How to capture Links from a Word Doc?
Thanks Jean
I checked to see that I have "Add Links" etc in Adobe -- and the new PDFMaker is still not keeping them in the new pdf doc. Any other thoughts? I really appreciate your help, though. Anyone?

Re: How to capture Links from a Word Doc?
Hello All.
I am having difficulty converting a Word 2000 doc to pdf and maintaining all links and bookmarks. Most links will work. However, I have some that are drawing objects with text. Other drawing objects without text are working fine. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: How to capture Links from a Word Doc?
Kim-
I have set that setting, but some of my drawing objects are still not linking, even though they work fine in Word. What is really strange is that some will work while others don't.
Any suggestions?
