How to change XP Welcome screen display value?
hi all,
just wondering if there was a registry hack to decrease the XP Welcome spash
screen value.
I have a pretty much bare start up (nothing to slow xp load time) but the
welcome to screen just seems to stay there forever. By the time the welcome
screen passes, the windows logon theme and any startup items have already
been loaded.
This is whats happening:
- welcome screen
- xp theme
- all start up items loaded
- welcome screen completes to workspace
What I used to have:
- welcome screen
- xp theme
- workspace
- all start up items loaded
stats:
xp pro sp1
tia!

Re: How to change XP Welcome screen display value?
Hi Ray. We ask that people not post large attachments in these groups. The
main reason being that many people do not have cable or DSL connections and
still use analog modems. Many people also have to pay for their connection
by the minute. Even an 800K file takes several minutes to download. Thank
you for understanding.
