Default How to Compress with Acrobat CS

    HI,

I've constructed an A5 high res (300 DPI) 12 page PDF. The PDF is a collection of 12 Illustrator files, which in turn included PSD's, Vector's and Fonts. So far so straight forward....

The File size is 64mb, I want to get it down to 10mb or so I've gone to the file optimizer checked the image audit, it say's 95% of the file size is images, so I've tried to downsample the image, and it seems to work I can see Jpeg compression on the pic's - but the file size remains the same! I'm very confused?? I tried severly compressing the pdf again and it made the file 334kb! which was to low... the problem is there does not seam to be any middle ground, can any one suggest some proper guidelines for making web optimized pdf, from a print ready pdf?? I'm very stuck

    thanks

Have you tried adjusting the image resolution and also changing the
